Easter Sunday: Part 1

The reason I have Easter Sunday in 2 parts is because it was a full day!  First we began the day at church where TJ played guitar for both services.  It was awesome!  I took a good bit of photos during the second service as well.  I will be posting them in the "part 2" of Easter Sunday. ha!

Part 1 consists of fun family shots taken at my parents house later on in the day.  It has become a lot harder to arrange all of our schedules and get together as a family.  So, it's always so much fun when it actually happens!  Aside from the "Woodfin" clan, we also had my new sister Leah, and Alisha's dad, Robin.  Alisha's mom was visiting her sister, so we didn't get blessed with her presence this time.  One thing that I LOVE about siblings marrying into other families is that I too have adopted them as my family as well.  The Brinkley's (Alisha's family) have been a part of our lives for about 15 years and it's been an amazing journey to see our families become one.

For lunch we had a wonderful smorgasbord of yummy foods that each of us made.  There was ham, my wonderful mac n cheese, fruit, salad, baked beans, and i know something else is missing.  It was all so delicious.  To top to all off, Mom and Leah both made desserts!  Leah made a WONDERFUL apple cobbler and my Mom made some really good angel food cupcakes with a mocha frosting. Mmmmm!!  One of the best parts was sitting out on their deck, soaking in the warm sun, and laughing together.  We managed to get some fun family photos as well.  Most of the time we only get a good (or decent) shot at Thanksgiving or Christmas.  I think they turned out really great.

And then some funny ones! :-)
Can't wait to meet Miss Selah Harbor in August!
Doesn't Mallory look great?!
I got a new dress! :-)

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter!

Friends

After a crazy week of taxes, photo shoots, editing, and did I mention taxes?...it's always great to hang out with friends.  My adoptive sister, Leah, invited a bunch of us to Olde Mecklenburg Brewery.  Charlotte's very own brewery was celebrating their 3rd anniversary, and it made for the perfect occasion to get together.  I decided to take my camera along to get some great "friend" photos.  In reference to the "adoptive sister" comment above, Leah and I decided that she is a going to be an adopted Woodfin now (does that make sense? lol).  It's always great to adopt a new sister. :-)

Alisha (sister) & Leah (sister)

It's always great hanging out with my brothers, Jacob & Jamison. <3

Josiah (or Brosiah)...he's pretty much a brother too.  The guy in the back, definitely not a brother. ha.

Nicole showing us the attitude that she gave her cell phone carrier. LoL

Leah "Woodfin" Sizemore

Congratulations, Olde Mecklenburg Brewery, for 3 years of business.

Alisha & I - Friends to Sisters

Leah, you look so cute here!

Meet my brother, Jacob.

<3

Alisha, I love you. lol

Fun Shot.

LoL

Didn't realize I got so many photos of them.  Guess I think they are cute. :-)

Pretty positive we are some of the best looking siblings. lol
Thanks, Leah, for initiating this get together.  Looking forward to next time!

Birthday Celebrations

The other night TJ & I had a birthday game night for me! :-)  It was simple and lots of fun.  I actually really enjoyed putting everything together and working ont he little details.  I made these super cute paper cones to hold popcorn.  In trying to decide what I would use to hold each cone, I remembered I had a turn style spice rack holder that I don't use much at all.  It was PERFECT for holding each cone.  Unfortunatley I do not have many photo of the night other than some of the snack table and a few TJ took of me blowing out my candle.  However if you look closely to one of the photos, you will see why I have such funny expressions throughout the photos.  Oye! LoL.  Oh, and I feel really bad for not getting photos of the amazing cupcakes that my sister baked for me!  (If anyone took any, I'd love to have them...hint hint....Mom? Alisha?)

Thank you Pinterest for always giving me good ideas! :-)
One of the 3 antique blue ball jars that I received for my birthday! (Thank you mom & Bohobabybump)
Yummy Yummy strawberries that my mom brought along with a great homemade fruit dip.
 Popcorn!
Ooh, and see that salsa?  It's homemade and my fav!
Got this great pitcher from my brother and sister in law for a wedding gift!
How fun is this air popper?
I love setting up tea and coffee stations!
I couldn't find my candles! haha!

Afterwards we played a REALLY fun game called Time's Up.  This was only my 2nd time playing it, and we may have had too many people (17), but I think everyone had a good time still.  I am thankful for having such great family and friends surrounding me.  I am a very blessed girl!

Anyone see what I was reacting to? LoL!

Strollin' down Memory Lane

Every so often I love looking through old photos.  So, I thought I would give a a chance to go strollin' with me. :-)

This was at our friends' Josiah & Nicole's wedding, about 4 months before we got engaged.

Love these photos of my brother, Jamison, and I.

My parents at a Winter Ball a few years ago.  They look great!

Me & my brother Jacob.  I think this was about 4 years ago at a Square Dance.

Before any of us were engaged or married.

My photography instructor, Emilie Knight, took this photo of me in class.  4 years ago i think.

Lets go WAY back for a couple photos.
LOL!  This cracks me up.

This is my dear friend, Samantha, who introduced TJ and I.

In Charleston for the Bridge Run in 2007.

It was a random stroll down Memory Lane, but nevertheless, a stroll.  :-)
