Homemade Pasta Party

A couple years ago my parents gave TJ a pasta maker for Christmas.  Unfortunately we did not use it until recently.  It was something I kept saying I wanted to try, but it always sat in our pantry.  So, we decided to invite Jacob & Alisha (my brother and sister in-law) over for dinner and make pasta.

It was so exciting!  TJ had experience making pasta (The Petrino last name MAY be a hint), so we all let him lead and we all helped.  All it takes is flour, eggs, water, and olive oil.  We didn't have any whole wheat flour, so we used white flour and semolina flour.  It's such a fun process to watch.  Flattening it out with the machine, then feeding the flattened dough through to cut the dough into fettuccine noodles, letting it sit for a bit, then boiling it to the perfect consistency.  Mmmm!

We had such a lovely dinner of pasta, sauce, meatballs, bread, salad, and of course great company!

Since this time, we have made pasta one other time and added pesto to the dough.  It was SOOOO yummy!

Enjoy the photos. :-)
