Day 1 of 10

Day 1 has come to an end.  The eating part was easy, but the work out part was, um....lets just say I waited to the last minute of the day.  Not so much because I did not want to, but because I got caught up with some photo work and I watched a documentary this afternoon ("Who killed the Electric Car").  I ended up working out around 8pm.  On Netflix I found this 38 minute workout by "SELF".  It incorporated cardio, light weights, and plyo.  I did about 30 minutes of it. :-)  Small beginnings. haha.  Needless to say, I felt it and I know I will feel it tomorrow.

What I ate today

Whole Wheat Bagel, Strawberries, & Mandrin Oranges

Pasta w/ Pesto, Pizza, & Salad w/ Balsamic Vinegar

 Soft Tacos w/ Black beans & Rice, & Strawberrys

To top it all off......Mint Chocolate Chip Icecream. :-)

I drank about 72 ounces today.  I could have done better.  But, again, it was only Day 1.


All in all, I think Day 1 went well.  Here's to Day 2!

  1. Way to go beka! I think we drank about the same amount of water-two 32oz.
    Your food looked yummy. My dinner consisted of a potato and salad (carrots and feta). Because I got home from class late(did eat until 9:30)

    Jodie, there are quite a few different workouts on netflix (yoga, pilates, cardio, etc).

  5. haha thats so interesting, because starting next week, im going to be starting a health program called isagenix. which should be interesting. I like how you start out small. That is my biggest problem I think because i look at a bigger picture like a month or so for a goal, never thought about a small one. Isagenix, starts off with a 9 day cleanse so I guess I'm taking baby steps. Oh tidbit about water. You should drink half of your body weight in ounces of water for example, if you weigh 140 lbs, you should drink 70 ounces of water. I just learned that today!! Love the new blog and the picture, its cute almost retro! Good luck on your ten day challenge!!
