Future menu items

I feel like I am the worst when it comes to dinners.  Our schedules are sometimes so crazy and all over the place.  Most days I am not even thinking about dinner until around 4:00pm.  Luckily I am married to a guy who loves leftovers and doesn't get too tired of eating the same things all the time.  I'm usually the one making myself feel bad.  However, I know that I can get myself on a better schedule of planning out meals and making time for cooking.  I think I may just schedule in time on my calendar each week to plan meals. These are some Pinterest finds that look absolutely yummy, healthy, and easy on the wallet.  You'll definitely see that black beans and veggie burgers are on here a lot.  Lately, we've been eating a lot of store bought Spicy Black Bean Burgers and using them in burritos.  It's SOOO delicious.  So, I figured I'd try my hand and making them homemade.  Super excited to try the recipe for the black bean burgers.  You may wonder if we are vegetarian...and my answer would be "some of the time".  We rarely eat meat at home.  If we go out to eat or to someones house for dinner, absolutely we will eat it.  It's just something that when we are home, we usually make meals without it.  We will buy chicken maybe once a month and use it to make a yummy Indian meal or cook it on the grill.

Yesterday my friend Beka and I got together to make some Valentine garland for an upcoming tea party we are having.  I was SOOOO happy how this turned out.  It was so fun to make.  Thank you, Pinterest!

Birthday Celebrations

The other night TJ & I had a birthday game night for me! :-)  It was simple and lots of fun.  I actually really enjoyed putting everything together and working ont he little details.  I made these super cute paper cones to hold popcorn.  In trying to decide what I would use to hold each cone, I remembered I had a turn style spice rack holder that I don't use much at all.  It was PERFECT for holding each cone.  Unfortunatley I do not have many photo of the night other than some of the snack table and a few TJ took of me blowing out my candle.  However if you look closely to one of the photos, you will see why I have such funny expressions throughout the photos.  Oye! LoL.  Oh, and I feel really bad for not getting photos of the amazing cupcakes that my sister baked for me!  (If anyone took any, I'd love to have them...hint hint....Mom? Alisha?)

Afterwards we played a REALLY fun game called Time's Up.  This was only my 2nd time playing it, and we may have had too many people (17), but I think everyone had a good time still.  I am thankful for having such great family and friends surrounding me.  I am a very blessed girl!

Things that make me smile and happy!!

Since returning from Ireland, TJ and I have been oober (I like that word. ha) busy with work.  We have had a wedding, we've met with lots of clients for upcoming weddings, we've been editing photos, and also just getting back on a routine after 10 days of adventures in Ireland.  So, I really haven't taken much time to  sit and read blogs, get my creativeness flowing, etc.  Just recently I finally joined Pinterest after many friends kept telling me how much I would love it.  Well, they were right.  I have only just begun to really dive into all.  But, this morning I did, and here are some things that made my creative heart leap!

So, I really could keep going with photos and ideas that I love.  I wish I could snap my fingers and apply all these great ideas to certain areas of my home. haha.  But, then again, it's all about the journey, right?
